Social Issues
The Social Issues committee presents pertinent topics or issues in a lecture, debate, symposium or panel discussion format. Programs produced by this committee are educational and/or entertaining, with the primary goal being to inform, educate and raise awareness (i.e. issues of a political, social, national, cultural, diverse or controversial nature).

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, flags were displayed on the Lawn of Stauffer-Flint. Each flag represented a life lost on that tragic day, thus giving students and the Lawrence community a chance to reflect and remember.
