SUA hosts Comedy and Music Night featuring Babay Wants Candy
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) will host Comedy and Pizza Night featuring Baby Wants Candy on Monday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. in the Kansas Union Ballroom on the KU campus. Comedy and Pizza Night featuring Baby Wants Candy guarantees a night of entertainment, laughter and free pizza. Using suggestions of a title of a musical posted on SUA’s Facebook and Twitter, improv troupe Baby Wants Candy will create a completely improvised musical in front of the audience as the event begins. Along with the musical, various Lawrence restaurants will provide the pizza served and the best pizza in town will be voted on and declared by the audience. This event is free for KU students and $3 for the general public and is sponsored by Coca-Cola.

SUA hosts Valentine’s Day Open House
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) will host a Valentine’s Day Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. in the Lobby of the Kansas Union. Stop by the Valentine’s Day Open House between classes to enjoy free food and entertainment. Take a few minutes to create a valentine for someone special at the card-making station and use the photo booth to take pictures with your friends for a keepsake memory. Other festivities featured include cookie decorating, Hershey’s Kisses roses and candy and a chance to win Valentine’s Day giveaways when you spin the prize wheel. This event is free to attend and open to both the KU and Lawrence communities.

SUA hosts Dodgeball Tournament
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) will host a Dodgeball Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Ambler Student Recreation Center. Take a night out of your week to compete in a Dodgeball Tournament using Prison Ball rules. Teams must have seven members, along with having at least three female members, to participate in the tournament. Each member of the winning team can win a $25 KU Bookstore gift card or teams competing as an organization can win $225 for their student group. The second place team will receive $15 gift cards individually or $150 for their organization. The tournament has a 16-team limit, so sign up your team on the SUA website today.
Who: SUA is a student programming board at the University of Kansas. The board has programmed events on the KU campus for more than 70 years, and it is comprised of more than 100 students.
Where: Teams can sign up on the SUA website, www.suaevents.com. The event will be held at the Ambler Student Recreation Center. The Ambler Student Recreation Center is located at 1740 Watkins Center D. in Lawrence, Kan.
When: The Dodgeball Tournament will happen on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and will last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why: “This event is a great stress reliever as well as a great way to win money for you or your organizations!” said Dakota Strange, SUA Spirit Coordinator.

What: Student Union Activities (SUA) will host “The Big Lebowski” Night on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Jaybowl of the Kansas Union. Come out for an evening dedicated to this cult classic film at the Jaybowl, where people can watch the film, participate in a game of bowling and enjoy non-alcoholic White Russians. SUA presents Dave and Ethan: College Dating Coaches
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) present college dating coaches Dave Ahdoot and Ethan Fixell on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium of the Kansas Union. After going on more than 200 double dates and documenting their experiences on YouTube since March 2008, this duo quickly became known as dating experts who bring comedy to their audiences when giving dating advice. Now on their national tour, “College Dating Coaches,” they will teach KU students a lesson in how to navigate the complicated dating world. Dave and Ethan’s stories of their double dating lives consist of hilarious storytelling, horror-date reenactments and songs of love while also giving guidance on dating to prospective daters. This event is free to attend.

SUA now accepting entries for the Student Film Competition
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) have opened entries for its Student Film Competition, which runs parallel with the International Film and Food Festival held on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium of the Kansas Union. This competition encourages KU student filmmakers who aspire to become professionals in the industry to submit their work for the community to view. The first place winner will receive a prize of $500 and a film internship, while the second place winner will receive $350 and the third place winner will receive $200. This event is free to attend for KU students and $5 for the general public. Rules for the competition are available in the SUA Box Office, Kansas Union, level 4. Film submissions are due Wednesday, Feb, 8 at 5 p.m in the SUA Box Office.
