New Committee Member Application

We are glad you want to join SUA! Before you apply, expectations from our by-laws:


a.   Maintain at least 2 office hours per week during business hours, of which one will be scheduled, and notify office in case of absence.

b.   Have a 2.0 cumulative GPA at time of application.  Maintain a 2.0 semester GPA and be enrolled as a KU student. At least one credit hour of enrollment is required to maintain membership on SUA.  Correspondence classes will not count towards these requirements.

c.   Attend respective committee events and meetings.  If the committee members accumulate more than three absences, the Executive Committee will dismiss member from committee.

         i. Executive Committee may review membership upon appeal.

d. Provide input for major programming decisions and vote on proposals at SUA meetings.

e. The Vice President of Administration has final approval on all office hour considerations.

New Committee Member Application

Students who serve as a SUA committee member will be asked to maintain two office hours per week, keep a 2.0 grade point average and attend SUA board and committee meetings on Thursday evenings starting at 6PM. These meetings USUALLY last until 8PM but can go longer. Committee members also have the opportunity to vote on which events SUA will put on or co-sponsor.
