SUA hosts Toys for Tots

What: Student Union Activities (SUA’s) yearly tradition of helping out children in need has returned. Partnering with the Douglas County Toys for Tots organization, SUA has set up toy trains around campus for students to take. These trains have toy donation suggestions. Donations can be dropped off at the SUA Box Office, located on level four of the Kansas Union.

Who: SUA is a student programming board at the University of Kansas. The board has programmed events on the KU campus for more than 70 years, and is composed of more than 100 students.

Where: Participants may pick up Toys for Tots trains – with donation suggestions – on Jayhawk at the Kansas Union, Mrs. E’s on Daisy Hill, and the Ambler Recreation Center. Unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the SUA Box Office, located on level four of the Kansas Union, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd.

When: The Toys for Tot campaign will begin on November 5 and continue through December 7.

Why: “We are very excited to once again help Douglas County children this holiday season. With KU students’ donations, we’ll be able to make this season a lot brighter for a lot of kids!” said Andrew Mechler, SUA Social Issues Coordinator.
