SUA now accepting entries for the Student Film Competition

What: Student Union Activities (SUA) have opened entries for its Student Film Competition, which runs parallel with the International Film and Food Festival held on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium of the Kansas Union. This competition encourages KU student filmmakers who aspire to become professionals in the industry to submit their work for the community to view. The first place winner will receive a prize of $500 and a film internship, while the second place winner will receive $350 and the third place winner will receive $200. This event is free to attend for KU students and $5 for the general public. Rules for the competition are available in the SUA Box Office, Kansas Union, level 4. Film submissions are due Wednesday, Feb, 8 at 5 p.m in the SUA Box Office.

Who: SUA is a student programming board at the University of Kansas. The board has programmed events on the KU campus for more than 70 years, and it is comprised of more than 100 students.

Where: Submissions are due in the SUA Box Office in the Kansas Union. The Kansas Union is located at 1301 Jayhawk Blvd. in Lawrence, Kan. The SUA Box Office is located on level 4 of the Kansas Union.

When: Entries for the Student Film Competition will close on Wednesday, Feb, 8 at 5 p.m.
