SUA and The New York Times hosts “Jeopardy!”
What: Student Union Activities (SUA) and The New York Times will host “Jeopardy!” on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium of the Kansas Union. Join SUA in KU’s version of “Jeopardy!,” where teams of three KU students will compete in one of two rounds answering questions based on current events featured in The New York Times. “Jeopardy!” is a great way to turn knowledge of current events into cash for contestants. The first place team will win $600, the second place team will win $300 and the third place team will receive prizes from The New York Times. Teams can sign up in the SUA Box Office, Kansas Union, level 4. This event is free to attend for KU students and the general public.
Who: SUA is a student programming board at the University of Kansas. The board has programmed events on the KU campus for more than 70 years, and it is comprised of more than 100 students.
Where: The Kansas Union is located at 1301 Jayhawk Blvd. in Lawrence, Kan. Woodruff Auditorium is located on level 5 of the Kansas Union.
When: “Jeopardy!” will happen on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and will last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why: “This is our second year hosting the event and we’re looking forward to the student body coming out to win some money and, if they’re lucky, learning a little about current events,” said Kevin Smith, SUA Social Issues Coordinator.
